After looking at Daims work i want to create my own type but first i must try to practice this skill.
This is my first peice that i have taken out of his work and now im going to work on colour and shade.
Bringing out the shade in 3d typography creates such depth it almost looks like its leaping of the page, im begining to like this style of illustration.
Bit more shade on the first letter.
Bit of colour added using a pencil crayon, doesn't look neat enough think i will use a felt pen to neaten it up.
Looks alot better, now im going to only use the 3 primary colours but only once so im going to be careful were i use the colour so its spaced out enough.
blue looks very nice, but the streaks are easily seen i think next time i will use a computer based program to create a tidier style.
The yellow has completed this peice i dont want to put anymore colour in this because i feel it will ruin it.

graffiti in manchester
After looking at graffiti in manchester i have found out that alot of the graffiti is from different countries and i can tell this by different styles.
images of Daims work
Daim is a graffiti artist that pushes the boundaries of 3D graffiti, This artist has inspired me so much i want to make my typography in this style. Here is some of his work, i know you will love it...
This was one of his exhibitions, i love the way the room is clean and tidy with very few colours, this is what makes his work stand out even more because of the bland colours around his work.

Even his sketches look out of this world, inside this 3d graffiti it says Daim, He uses his name in every single peice he does. its almost a 3d tag.
I never thought that anybody can use spray paints to the extent were you dont know whats flat and whats 3d, this would take a very good understanding of depth and shadow and also take up alot of time and effort.
This was another peice Daim did above the door of his exhibition.
Images of Dolks work.
I really like this stencil, I want to create something similar but not the same as this. im going to pay alot of attention towards shadow on bodies so then i can capture depth and detail.
As i was talking about before about the cave paintings being a way of human communication, this peice reflects on how human communication has evolved. ( very strong peice )
i want to capture detail in the face aswell as different poses to create a more in depth image which will attract consumer attention.
I find this stencil very inspirational because its to such big scale and i love the way the mushroom is the only thing that stands out, i like the way the the mushroom is red representing danger.
This peice is called zooicidle, i like the way the Bannana stands out from the monkey and i love the way the black dominates the image.

research and artists
In this project i have been mostly looking into detailed graffiti artists such as Dolk, Banksy and most inspiringly Daim.
Dolk is a Norweigen street artists who creates sexual humorous stencil which are very similar to Banksy so i feel that this Dolk character might have something that i can use for this advertsiement that i am wanting to make.
My aim for this assignment is to change peoples perception on how they look at graffiti and also how graffiti can be manipulated into something commercial and beneficial for an event or even advertising a Business. Graffiti is a form on language, this can be backed up by cave paintings from thousands of years ago before language was even invented, also the egyptians used hyrolglyphics which were images of gods and animals that reflected on different things, these images were mainly stories of the gods and how the Egyptians praised them.
All this information explains that graffiti is the evolution in human communication and should be used for inspiration and not to be related to thugs who roam the streets causing trouble.
